Brunello di Montalcino Valdicava displays a profound sense of elegance and balance with subtle notes of berries that blend with spices, licorice and tar. Bright and lively aromatic components fold gracefully within the compact texture of the wine. Absolute power and silky nature of the tannins. Brunello di Montalcino Valdicava promises a future of long and constant aging.

Valdicava is located on the northern side of Montalcino. The distinctive characteristics of the Brunello di Montalcino produced by this company which takes its name from the valley in which it is located are the great balance between body and aroma.
Bramante Abbruzzese returned to this property that his ancestors had cultivated for centuries in 1953. He began growing Sangivese Grosso and bottling it under a Consortium label with the family name on the bottles. In 1977, Bramante decided to bottle his wines under the Valdicava label, reflecting the place where the grapes came from.

In 1987 Bramante's nephew, Vincenzo Abruzzese, joined the company and began to take care of both the vineyard and the cellar.
If until that moment the wines of Valdicava were gruff, rustic and in need of extreme aging to be tamed, with Vincenzo the wines enter a second phase which sees greater balance without ignoring the teachings of Bramante.

From 1999 onwards the Brunelli di Montalcino di Valdicava acquire a unique harmony that combines balance, power and expressiveness of fruit. Vincenzo is sure that this transformation is due to the long work in the vineyards over the last 25 years.
All Valdicava grapes are grown organically and no pesticides or chemical fertilizers are used in the vineyards.
