Tenuta San Leonardo - San Leonardo 2004
Tenuta San Leonardo - San Leonardo 2004
SKU:
Few other Italian wineries have managed to protect and enhance their territory in the style of the great French château, as Tenuta San Leonardo, in Trentino, has managed to do. A magical place, in the heart of Vallagarina, where the traces of vine cultivation are lost over time, dating back to a thousand years ago. A model winery, made up of hundreds of hectares of land, which are home to around thirty hectares cultivated with varieties that have now become traditional: cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, carmenère, petit verdot and merlot, as well as riesling and sauvignon blanc. Owned by the Guerrieri Gonzaga family, Tenuta San Leonardo has over the years created some of the most iconic wines not only from Trentino, but from all of Italy.
San Leonardo is the most famous and representative wine of the prestigious Tenuta San Leonardo, whose production was inaugurated with the historic 1982 harvest. It is a Bordeaux-style wine: it comes to life from a selected blend of wines made from different grapes, vinified and matured separately, like the best Bordeaux.
