Loredan Gasparini - Capo Di Stato 1990
Loredan Gasparini - Capo Di Stato 1990
SKU:
Capo di Stato Montello Doc Vengazzù Superiore. This Reserve was born in 1964 and is the result of a selection of grapes from our old vineyards, where now unobtainable clones create a red wine with a unique and original character. The grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, but the peculiarity lies precisely in the origin of these plants which represent a small museum to safeguard biodiversity. A wine that also manages to best represent the great character of the Venegazzù lands, where freshness and acidity always support an intense and complex body that is never expressed through power but with refinement and sensuality.
When Count Loredan, after years of producing extremely fine wines, began to have a viticultural heritage of a certain maturity, in the 1960s he began to think about creating a special reserve of Rosso di Venegazzù. Thus was born the idea of an exquisite wine, produced in limited quantities and vintages, which was soon sought after for many special occasions, particularly in the city of Venice and immediately appreciated throughout the world. Among his first admirers he had various Heads of State and in particular the French President Charles de Gaulle, in whose honor he definitively took the position of Head of State.
In 1967 the famous Italian artist Tono Zancanaro (1906-1985) dedicated two sensual works to the elegant "Riserva" of Count Loredan which express the dual male and female soul of the "grape" (feminine) which becomes "wine" (masculine) . A “She” and a “He” fused in the same essence. From that moment “Des Roses pour Madame” and “…pour Monsieur la Bombe” become the image on the label. Then, over the years, the wine continued to be produced with only the "Him" label, reserving the "She" for particular occasions.
