Jacopo Biondi Santi - Schidione 1995
Jacopo Biondi Santi - Schidione 1995
SKU:
In the heart of Maremma, Jacopo Biondi Santi and his children are committed to continuing a history of excellence in Italian wine, passing it on to new generations.
A landscape full of history, exciting and sincere, which Jacopo Biondi Santi has elected to the highest rank of his possessions also for its pedoclimatic virtues. In the Tenuta del Castello di Montepò, in fact, all those conditions of altitude, conformation of the land, exposure to the winds and microclimates combine to make it a unique and, above all, identity-producing wine-growing reality, an ideal land for the production of the Sangiovese Grosso clone, the BBS11 , exclusive heritage of the Biondi Santi family.
Wine with an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose it is elegant and complex, with spicy and vanilla notes. The flavor is dry, with a soft but powerful attack, fleshy and rich in silkiness. Long persistent on the palate.
Vinification takes place separately for individual grape varieties, with prolonged maceration (18 days) and complementary malolactic fermentation. The refinement is in wood barriques from the Tronçais forests for 24 months. Blending for approximately 6 months in stainless steel vats.
