The Champagne House Henriet-Bazin is located in the heart of Montagne de Reims, overseeing a vineyard of 7.76 hectares, with certain parcels classified as Premier Cru around the village of Villers-Marmery and Grand Cru around Verzy and Verzenay.

Marie-Noëlle Rainon-Henriet is now the fourth generation managing the family estate, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and biodiversity conservation. While she oversees the winemaking, her husband takes care of the vineyard work.

As with the Blanc de blancs generic Domaine, the Chardonnays in this 2015 Marie-Amélie cuvée all come from Montagne de Reims, from the village of Villers-Marmery in Premier Cru, the only village to exclusively bear Chardonnay in this territory mostly devoted to Pinot Noir; here again they come exclusively from 3 parcels, in this case "Clos" "Alouettes" and again "Fosses d'Hommes". Note that this cuvée Millésimée is only made when the year has offered the best conditions for these 3 old Chardonnay vines (50 years or more) to give all the concentration they are capable of.

The wines spend 9 months on lees in enamelled vats. This is followed by 7 years' aging in the cellars of Domaine. After disgorging, no dosage is carried out, so this is a Brut nature.

This Blanc de blancs Marie-Amélie 2015 sports a pale yellow gold color with white gold highlights. The nose is intense, refined and incisive. It instantly develops floral scents of rose, clove, acacia and chamomile, as well as fruit aromas of green apple, peach, grapefruit and Menton lemon. On aeration, pastry notes of almond, hazelnut, warm bread and lightly smoky chalk emerge. The palate is creamy, harmonious and energetic, with the reassurance of brioche, marzipan and licorice, and the liveliness of lemon albedo and star anise. The finish is on tender chalk, with a lovely iodized, saline freshness, laid down on noble, mentholated bitters.
