Established in 2018 by Florie Brunet and Adrien Bariol, Domaine d'Ici Là is a small, artisanal winery located in the Bugey region of eastern France. The estate spans 5.5 hectares of steep, limestone-rich vineyards situated between the Rhône River and the Jura Mountains. Committed to organic farming practices, the duo emphasizes minimal intervention both in the vineyard and the cellar. They focus on indigenous grape varieties such as Altesse and Mondeuse, aiming to produce wines that authentically express the unique terroir of their region.
The Altesse AOC Roussette du Bugey is a beautifully expressive white wine made from 100% Altesse grapes, cultivated on steep, limestone-rich slopes in the Bugey region. Certified organic and harvested manually in small 30-liter boxes to protect the integrity of the fruit, this wine undergoes a gentle pressing over 4–5 hours. Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, and minimal sulfur is used—only 1 to 2 g/hl at bottling. The wine is then aged for 9 months on fine lees in concrete tanks.
On the nose, it reveals delicate aromas of poached pear and quince, followed by a distinctive mineral character. The palate is fresh and precise, highlighting the purity of the Altesse grape and the elegance of its limestone terroir.
