The Château Lafite-Rothschild, also known as the 'Lord of the gravelly land of Pauillac', extends across a total of 112 hectares and on sandy-gravelly soils, among the first wines in the history of Crus Classés in 1855 in the Bordeaux region. In 1868 Baron James de Rothschild purchased Château Lafite, thus Château Lafite Rothschild was born.

The magical vineyard is arranged as follows: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot, with an average age of the plants of around 40 years and simply perfect exposures. This is the recipe for a great wine, among the most acclaimed in the world, guardian of a long tradition that has its roots in 1620 and which, over the centuries, has been able to give life to famous and immortal labels. Aromas of almonds, cedar and violets, always framed by a well-defined mineral verve, elegant tannins and a velvety appearance are the main characteristics of the Château Lafite-Rothschild wine, still produced following a rigid specification, a legendary wine that never betrays expectations of the lucky ones who will be able to taste it.

During the harvest, the grapes are divided and vinified by single parcel, in order to identify the characteristics of the various terroirs and understand their most authentic personality. The winemaking area is equipped with traditional oak vats and modern temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Once the fermentation phase is completed, the wines undergo malolactic fermentation and continue the aging process in wood. All the barriques used for aging come from the domaine's cooperage and are specifically made to enhance the character of the wine, without covering it with wood essences. The wine matures in barrique for a period of 18-22 months and is refined for a long time in the bottle before being put on sale.
