Bertani - Amarone Classico Della Valpolicella 1974
SKU:
Bertani's Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is born in the vineyards of Tenuta Villa Novare, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, in vineyards dedicated only to drying grapes.
It is produced with Rondinella and Corvina Veronese grapes, harvested exclusively by hand in the second week of September. After a careful selection of the bunches, the grapes are transported to the drying rooms and placed in a single layer on racks, where drying takes place which gives the grapes a thickness and a great organoleptic variety. Following maceration, the must ferments at a controlled temperature of 18°C for approximately 50 days. The wine then ages in Slavonian oak barrels for approximately 6 years and for a further 12 months in the bottle.
It is characterized by an intense red color, with garnet shades. The nose opens with aromas of plum, cherry and morello cherry, enriched with hints of dried fruit, green tea and liquorice. On the palate it is fresh and soft, with unmistakable notes of red berries, sweetened by vanilla aromas. Amarone has a perfect balance between acidity and tannic notes.
